JOHN BADARACCO (Owner)

I have been involved in fitness and athletics all of my life. I knew at a young age that taking care of my body and exercising would benefit me for the rest of my life. In 1994 I started my own personal training business. For years I worked with clients helping them get fit but something was missing and I could never put my finger on it.  In February 2009 I was introduced to CrossFit. For the first time in my life the true definition of fitness was clear to me. I was given a road map on how to get fit and help others do the same. Working out is now fun, challenging and motivating. I am in my early 50’s and can honestly say I am in the best shape of my life. After my experience with CrossFit I knew I had to share it with others.

I am a student at Worcester State University and I am finishing my Bachelor’s degree in Health Education. I am on the track team at school and about 4 years ago I decided to try CrossFit over the summer to see if it would benefit my performance in Track & Field.  At the end of the summer I was hooked and knew that CrossFit would be a regular part of my life. Not only did I see dramatic improvement in my performance in Track & Field (throwing shot put) but I began to feel more confident and met so many great people. What I love most about CrossFit is that you can always find new ways to challenge yourself and a lot of time surprise yourself with what you can do. It is just as exciting to see other athletes in the gym PR a lift, a workout or doing something new for the first time. That’s what makes the whole thing so awesome. I’m so grateful to have found such a welcoming community to be a part of!

JANA PAECHT

I’ve played competitive sports my whole life and always considered myself an athlete.  When I was introduced to CrossFit my junior year of high school in 2015, I was hesitant at first because it was something so different from what I was used to. But getting out of my comfort zone was the magic of CrossFit. I loved that there are always new ways to challenge myself. I would stay in the gym after the WOD just to learn and practice new movements. When I got it, I felt so accomplished because I didn’t give up.

There’s no better feeling than lifting a PR (personal record), or lying down on the ground drenched in sweat after a hard workout. CrossFit has not only enhanced my athletic performance, but it has also given me a new confidence that I want to share with others.
I look forward to each day in the gym watching individuals feel proud of what they have achieved and continue to strive for. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to coach here and be a part of this strong, positive community and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for our athletes.
