Please plan accordingly as CFS typically closes 15 minutes after the last class of the day is complete.  If a coach decides to stay later then that is their decision but please don’t assume CFS will be open after the last class.

The CrossFit Open workouts will be done in every class on Fridays for the next 4 weeks.  If you are registered for the Open and need to do this workout on a day other than Friday or you choose to do if for a second time please email us ahead of time at info@cfsyn.com to tell us when you will be doing it and who your judge is.  Please sign in when you come in to do the Open workout as this does count as one of your classes.

Judging Tips:
To most accurately CONFIRM THE PERFORMANCE OF THE ATHLETE, it is recommended that the judge:

1: View the athlete they are judging PRIMARILY from a PROFILE or FORTY FIVE DEGREE ANGLE. This will allow best viewing of most movement standards.

2: DO NOT COACH while judging. Focus on accurate REP COUNT, LOADING and RECORDING TIME.

3: Use a SCORECARD and SCRATCH PAPER. Make notes during the workout any time the athlete or completes a round.

If possible BEFORE THE WORKOUT:

1. Watch the athlete perform several reps of EACH MOVEMENT.

2. Discuss what will constitute a NO REP for each movement.

Finally, there are often specific movements standards that may call for a different execution than you or your athlete, is accustomed to.
ALWAYS REFER TO THE POSTED STANDARDS before beginning the workout.
