Your rest is determined by how quickly you finish your reps until the next card is pulled. The work out is done when all 54 cards have been drawn. If you need to take a card off to catch your breath no problem you will just have to pay a calorie bike fine on completion of the WOD. The amount of calorires will be the number on the card that you took off. Face cards are worth 10. Aces are worth 11 and jokers are woth 15.

Beginning July 1st we will no longer be offering BootCamp only memberships. Anyone with this type of membership has been given the offer to participate in our Foundations program. The Monday, Wednesday and Friday 5:30am classes and the Saturday 7:30am class will no longer be on the schedule. As always there are CrossFit classes available at all these times. We will continue to offer the Tuesday and Thursday classes at 8:30am with the same format we currently use. It will be something of a combo CrossFit/BootCamp class.

Deck of Cards with Matt, John, JD, Harry, Ryan, Lynn, Stacy, Tracey, Ilana, Michelle, Becka, Jackie, Kim, Lynn, Karen, Irina, and Linda. I believe the final time was 31:55 or something like that. Frozen would not make for a good dealer in Vegas as his cards seemed to be stacked…not sure how “15 Burpees” kept coming up directly after the 100M run 🙂
Fun WOD. I’m with Deb on the burpees order. Did a quick 15 cal on the bike instead of run and had to hit the deck on the burpees. The best thing I heard during the workout was “5 cards left” Scariest was John joking on “15 more burpees” at the end.
First deck of cards workout for me. Fun, yet tough! I agree that those burpees always seemed to come up after something equally hard, and then the push-ups always seemed to follow the burpees. I enjoyed the “Mark Jobin” method of bike riding with JD, who is like a Jack Rabbit on the abmats.
Can rabbits even DO sit ups?!
Deb —
You are the 10 box jumps of 5 wall walks.
(Or translated: you are the queen of jokers.)
🙂
Ken
And you Ken are a 20 Cal Team Bike in my book!
Maybe he is the Ninja of abmats!
Push-ups (i.e. — hearts) right back at you Deb and Tracey. I finally got back with my 7:30 p.m. crew tonight (post knee surgery) and it felt awesome.
